Pre Terminated Fiber Cable
Pre terminated fiber cable refers to an fiber optic cable component that connects various types of fiber optic connectors at one or both ends of the optical cable as required after factory pretreatment. So as to realize the connection or direct connection of the pre terminated end at the non fusion connection point on the construction site.
Application
It is widely used in power grid, aerospace, military industry, shipbuilding, nuclear power, wind power, medical and other fields. With the popularization of intelligent substation, the application of pre terminated fiber cables in electric power is particularly widespread.
Pre Terminated Type
The pre terminated fiber optic cable are structurally divided into 2 type : connector type and branch type. Due to the vast difference of environment and application for pre terminated fiber cables, there are also indoor connector type and outdoor connector type.
Connector Type
Outdoor pre terminated multi-core optical cable assembly include multi-core connectors, outdoor fiber optic cable, heat shrinkable tubes with marks, protective materials, etc., as shown in figure below.
And indoor pre terminated multi-core optical cable assembly include sockets, indoor fiber optic cable, optical fiber movable plugs, heat shrinkable tubes with marks, protective materials, etc., as shown in figure below.
Branch Type
Compared to connector type, there is no breakpoint inside the multi-core pre terminated optical cable assembly. The indoor branch is directly prefabricated at both ends of the outdoor optical cable through the branch. All branch are properly protected by casing and other protection methods. The branch pre terminated fiber optic cable assembly consists of outdoor fiber optic cable, branching device, heat shrinkable tube with marks, protective material, etc.
