OPGW fibre cable is a fibre optic cable which applied in power transmission lines. Because of it’s cable structure, it maintains all the performance of the overhead ground wire, and also opens up for fibre communication network without adding another hanging line.

When aluminum clad steel wire or aluminum alloy wire is used on the opgw fibre cable, it’s equivalent to erecting a good conductor overhead ground wire. Which can reduce the secondary arc current of transmission line, reduce the power frequency overvoltage. And also improve the protection of interference and danger of power line on transmission line.
